WATER UPDATE: 10 AM 7-2010

Good news! The well pump/motor and electrical equipment is back up and running normally. Outside irrigation can resume. We do ask that that we all try to resume over the next two nights rather than all starting at one time. Homes with house numbers ending in an even number can start irrigating tonight. The balance of us can start tomorrow night.

Our Engineer has determined that we have adequate water storage for normal use but during the irrigation/hot season usage goes up dramatically as many of us see when we compare our water bills in the winter to the summer months. Once we get our redundant well drilled and operating we should be able to operate without these “water bans”. Please look to Jeanne Dassel’s Newsletter articles each month and Jeanne will keep you updated on our progress.

Please note that all our blast e-mails are not meant to have you respond to them. If you do choose to respond, please do so at jpbrabec@comcast.net

Bell Mountain Ranch Upcoming Meetings & Events & News

Bell Mountain Ranch upcoming meetings & events & news for July 2010

The “Kids Club” will be holding its last meeting this school year on Friday June 25th at the Park from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. This is a chance to meet new friends, exchange numbers and meet potential babysitters.

Yoga in the Park will be held Saturday June 26th at the Park from 8:30 to 9:45. Give it a try.

The Metro District and the BMR will be holding their Regular Meeting on July 6th starting at 6 PM at the Lowell Ranch.

The HOA will not hold a regular Meeting in July but we may hold an informal study session.

Your DRC Committee will hold its Regular Meeting on Wednesday July 14th at the Chevy Med Ved dealership meeting room at 5:30 PM. Please bring your exterior project plans to the DRC since “all” exterior projects must be submitted to the DRC and approved by them prior to the work beginning. We have had some Owners who were not aware that even the invisible fences must be submitted and approved. If you are interested in “any” … you must get approval.

Our recycling dates for July will be on the 1st, 15th & 29th. Please note that our trash day will be on Friday July 9th (one day late) due to the July 4th holiday.

And, importantly, attend our Meetings and let your Boards know what we can do to help the Ranch.

Thank our Troops Barbecue

This Sunday from about 11 AM to 4 PM a marvelous group of Bell Mountain ladies will be hosting a barbecue at the Park for the Soldiers out of Ft. Carson and their families. Dee Dee Truzinski and Kim Reifschneider have worked with many other Bell Mt. ladies and have sent hundreds of “care packages” to Soldiers serving us in Iraq and Afghanistan and many have returned to Ft. Carson so this group decided to have this barbecue to thank them for their service.

If you would like to stop by to say “thanks”, feel free to do so. The ladies will not have enough food for you unless you made reservations, but you can still stop by.

Now on a far less positive note. Speeding remains a significant problem. Your HOA Board has decided to hire off duty Deputy Sheriffs to patrol the Ranch and to issue tickets where appropriate. Look for more Sheriff Vehicles, slow down and drive carefully and courteously.

Water Settlement update as of 2-1-2010

We have 232 signed Ratifications so we are well passed the needed 205 to meet our requirements to make this effective. All that is left is to complete the paperwork and get the Documents filed with Douglas County which should happen soon.

Our goal remains, however, to have all 305 Owners on the Ranch sign their Ratification forms. Therefore, any Owner who has not yet signed and who has questions or who would like to discuss this important issue or who needs a Notary, please call Bob Brabec at 303-660-6015.
